That is a fairly decent deal for a whistle that convinced me to sell my O’Riordan traveler set!!!
Let me know if you don’t sell it and maybe we can work something out.
Great whistles. I’ve hardly ever played any of my other whistles since i got my Rose.
Just a couple questions about the Rose:
Thanks
Rod
Back when I played I also had a sterling Copeland and an Abell D..
I kept the Rose..
I’m the first and only owner and I bought it from Fred hmm, may it be four years ago.
The whistle is in perfect shape and the case with cleaning rod follows.

How loud are these?
ive heard nothing but greatness from this whistle, but i have no idea about it. i cant find a website, or whistle review on it. it does have a very good reputation though, a whistle that i would love to see and try. any pics?
cool, thanks. i wish it had some sound samples on the site.
There are some sound clips on Mick’s sight.

and a review here by mick when he first discovered “The Rose” back in the old days (hm.. when was that?) Well Dale liked it and declaired it the best whistle of all time. I don’t know where that review went but I bought one on his recomendation. Pure sounding, O’Riordan like tone but I never bonded with mine. Sorry to say I never bonded, it is a beautiful whistle with a beautiful tone and playability (what is my problem anyway…don’t answer!) Anyone want to purchace mine? Oh sorry, I didn’t mean to hijack this thread!

thank you very much Nate.
To the whistle collector:
Sorry I flaked on you and never sent out the Copeland.
Later I saw you were after a sterling Copeland. Hope your persuit went well.
Again, appologies for hijacking this thread!
Nate
And here’s a Tony Hinnigan review of one (scroll down): http://www.tonyhinnigan.com/moviedl.php?group=29
no problem at all, i found a good Copeland that i got from a good friend here. but i forgot all about that, i barely remember that. no need to apologize at all pal. but thank you
I would be very interested in you whistel for sale. Asking price? Condition? In tune? How old?

I would like posts that are slightly more on topic and prefer that others start their own thread if they want to sell anything..
About the volume of the Rose.. it’s slightly lower than the Abell and Copeland, obviously louder than a Generation or Clarke.
I’d say perfect for all but noisy amplified pubsession.. sort of. You certainly don’t need a louder whistle when playing solo or in a small acoustic sessions.

I will post a pic of my Pink Ivorywood (he only made the one for me!) if I get the chance.
As far as “off topic” stuff goes, better that than a dead thread!!! Who was trying to sell their stuff in your thread?
The price is still the same as it was in my first post in this thread
Perfect condition… IOW as new.
A Rose is in tune as is most whistles.. if you put the slide in the right position and blow with the right pressure. Did I mention that the intonation is perfect as well? Rose is a pro level instrument.
The whistle is 3-4 years old.
/Peter
Please post a pic.. but in another thread.
As far as OT.. that would be up to me to decide right? This thread is not dead.. yet and I am pretty confident I can manage to keep it alive myself with the help of those who are interested in buying the whistle..
Regarding your last question.. the thread is open for you to read.. all of the posts actually.
