This looks like a nice flute on Ebay.

at least heās honest enough that he used super glue.
and arent you not supposed to be showing people other flutes they can buy besides your own?
Too pricey for me: Buy it now at $3000? About $1000 more than a similar Hammy, although maybe this one IS special.

At least the guy will consent to āplay it over the phoneā - well worth the $3000 asking price
Still, at least Glinjack wonāt be able to come onto this thread and call it āanother Ebay basket caseā
Yes of course: any crack turns any flute into firewood.
Shouldnāt play with matches.

I hate being broke.
For anyone with the cash, Cotters are awesome. $2K is plenty fair. $3K is pretty optimistic, but ya never know ⦠Keep it humidified!
Cotters vary tremendously. Iāve played some that were less than poor and some that were exceptional. Iād play it first before buying. The price even at $2000 is a bit optimistic I think. I have a friend who purchased a good 6 key Cotter here for quite a bit less. Keywork / blockwork isnāt the finest but it works.
He generally makes nice embochures though. Niall Keegan is having Eammon make him a mouthpiece for an old Pratten that he has.
Best,
Nice flute, probably a good playing flute, The only question i have is why is
this person selling this (as was mentioned) great playing flute, He seems to be well able to play the flute as he has offered to do so over the phone,
doesānt look like he is a dealer, is he ordering a flute from one of the many many years waiting list makers, why dont you ask him.
Good to know, Blayne. The three Iāve played were all terrific and the keywork seemed about on par with the other Irish makersā Iāve played ā if not a wee bit better in one case. So Iāve been mooning over them as I like their sound & feel ā thanks for the fair caution.
