From the description I gather that Eamonn did not make the Boehm lipplate for the flute. The embouchure hole looks very rounded. just wondering how that would affect the tone of the flute?
The embouchure hole on my Cotter flute is very nice and crisp and produces a strong tone.
It’s quite a dramatic change to make to a flute…
I just posted off a question to the seller asking for clarification on who made the lip plate. I think that’s what he means; he does say that Cotter didn’t make the headjoint, but in German it sounds like the “mouthpiece” was changed/added.
Palisander is a nice timber, but I agree that it’s a rather radical change.
