CP: New and old from O'Brien

I have a new version of my Stowaway telescopic brass whistle. It has three sections, so it collapses shorter than the two-section model. There’s just enough sticking out of a shirt pocket for someone to notice and say “Give us a choon”. It’s so new, it’s not even on my website yet, but here are a photo and a sound sample. Please excuse the playing.

Also, I’ve decided to no longer make copper whistles with metal mouthpieces. From now on, they will have Delrin mouthpieces. There will be a photo on my website within the next few days.

How much will they be? I hae a two piece, but I’d love to have one that’s even smaller and easier to carry.

I think I’ll start them at C$100, including shipping.

It’s hard to believe we would want such a portable instument to be even MORE portable, but it’s true. My O’Brien Rover in C, in Bocote, is just SWEET to play, and it comes apart in three pieces, in it’s own little bag.
I take it everywhere.

My two piece telescopic is lovely - I keep it in my uniform pocket at work and “entertain” my patients when they need cheering up: at least, that’s my intention!
