Well, after much deliberation, and a rapidly approaching move, I’ve decided to unload several of my whistles to whoever might like a boost to cure their WhOA.
The whistles are as follows:
Chieftain Low D (tuneble)
Susato Low D (tuneable)
Gen. Bb (brass)
Gen. D (nickel)
Gen. Eb (brass)
Hoover ‘Whitecap’ D (brass w/ PVC headjoint)
Walton’s Mellow D (brass)
Doolin 1 piece D (brass)
Feadóg D in black (painted aluminum)
Clarke Sweetone C (black)
Custom brass whistle in D made for me by a machinist friend. VERY intricately carved with celtic knotwork in the brass at the tuning slide, and foot. Very quiet whistle.
And just for kicks, a bamboo whistle in D (more or less) I picked up at a festival several years ago.
I’m offering the whole bunch as a set, to do with as you will. I’d like to ask $175 for the lot, but if you ask nicely, I may be talked down.
I’ll ship anywhere you like, but prefer USPS as UPS is still breaking and loosing it’s packages.
Feel free to contact me off list with any questions.
You’ve gotta be kidding me! Are you selling them because I drooled on them while looking them over Friday night? Any chance you want to unload the O’Briain tweaked Feadog???
Heather decided to end our engagement for my birthday present, and now I’m looking for a place to live on my own. I need to come up with some bucks to make the move, and as these are the whistle I don’t play as much, I’d like to see them all off to a good home.
The ‘improved’ is staying with me however, as it’s one of my absolute favorites!!
That being said, the whistles I’m offering are all quite nice in their own rights, and most have been tweaked with sticky-tac, and blade filing.
I hate to do this, but desperate time call for…well, you know.
At least you are keeping one. When you are down remember that music can lift the soul. I can swear to that suffering from depression and other crap that life gives me. I wish you the best. Honestly, sometimes I think my ferrets are less trouble than humans.
