The Taylor set offered there looks like it may have a Taylor chanter. The body is definately not Taylor.

I think Chris Bayley got it right with Brennan. I agree the chanter could be Taylor alright but the mounts on the top of the chanter body are a bit rounded for Taylor?

Anyway there’s a fantastic Kevin Thompson full set going for a very good price. I don’t know what his waiting list is like these days but it must at least a year and a half for a full set. And a Eugene Lamb full set for only E1850!! That’s less than most makers charge for a half set.

The Thompson/overhauled by Donncha Keegan set is great! Hard to imagine better bang for the € IMO..

I’ve seen that chanter before. If memory serves, it was made by Nick Whitmer, but “got at” by someone who scalloped the toneholes and subsequently “repaired” by someone else. The repairs are quite visible.
