NE Tionol this past weekend

Just wanted to let everyone know how incredible the Northeast Tionol was this past weekend. It was great to see so many pipers - ones I know already but so many I just met. What a really neat group of people!

Hats off to the board for organizing such a fantastic event. Susanne, Kara, Skip, Nakka, Tommy… great work!

So, if you haven’t been yet - you MUST go…

I hope to make it back next year…

Woops! Forgot Brad, too.

Lovely weekend!

Favourite music of the whole weekend: Tom Klein doing his thing on the Lament For Staker Wallace, in A, with various drones.

“Deep drones, with overtones of whales and elk” (Or something like that.)

It was wonderful. Every year I wonder how this event can possibly get better, but every year it does.

A huge thank-you to the Tionól Board! May you bask in the glory you so richly deserve.

I enthusiastically agree with all that’s been said here. I’ve attended the NE Tionol every year since 2007, and this one–the biggest ever, I believe–was easily one of the best. Kudos to the organizers; they have a difficult job and consistently do it wonderfully.

The only problem is that all the incredible talent that shows up makes me feel like my piping isn’t worthy!

Don’t make me smack you, Tim. You’re totally worthy.
