I’m about to list a 6key McGee Rudall Perfected in D on eBay.
I will offer here for 3 days (by Wednesday) for less than what the eBay reserve will be, giving Chiffers a good deal.
As you know, Terry has closed his waiting list, so if you want one and aren’t on the list, it’ll be awhile. This flute will cost less than what Terry gets new.
Here’s the deal:
The flute is the Rudall Perfected, six keys in sterling with rings the same, made of African blackwood.
It has the eccentric bore head with the two-semicircle embouchure and the MK IV tuning slide.
Terry currently charges $3,345 for the 6key flute in D and an extra $25 for the long D foot, for a total of $3,370. I’m not sure what his postage from AU is but not that cheap, I’d say.
There is a custom birdseye maple and walnut case that holds the flute and a D whistle and C whistle. Comes with a protective cover. Terry charges $251 for the case and $59 for the cover.
The whole package today would cost you $3,680, according to his website.
No idea what the cost will be when he opens his list and gets around to making your flute.
My eBay reserve on the flute package will be $3,500 to make up for the stupid eBay and PayPal fees you get raped on.
I will sell it here for $3,300 with postage within the USA included.
Photos on request.
The flute has no repairs, no cracks, no issues at all and plays excellent.
