Grand Junction festival

This the week of G.J. Highland Games and Celtic Festival, September 21 and 22.

A good time will certainly be had by all!
If this beautiful weather holds: wear your hat and bring sunscreen. Of course this is Colorado, so it might be: hang on to your hat and bring your umbrella. And we’ll pretend it’s Scotland. But in any case we’ll have a great time!
Mack

Countin’ the days, Mack!

(And for Brian’s sake I hope it’s not windy!)

I’ll be there late friday afternoon-early friday evening. I get off work at 7:00 am friday morning, gonna sleep till 11 and head out. If the traffic gods are kind we should be there about 5

We look forward to seeing you all!
I’ll be going to the fairgrounds around six to help Dan and Deanna set up, and will take as many as want to help. It shouldn’t be very long, and we’ll have the rest of the evening for fun. There are still some weeds in my yard!

We’ll play some tunes for you while you pull 'em!

Rolling in the Ryegrass and Wind that shakes the weeds maybe?

Ron

If I get ANY brambles up my kilt guys, I’m gonna be SERIOUSLY MIFFED!!! LOL :stuck_out_tongue:

B~

Hey Mack, do ya have any brambles in your yard??

I will be running the Celtic Society Information booth, so if anyone wants to stop by and say hi thats where I will be.

I will likely have perfectly free, and super cold water, and a cooler stocked with a variety of beverages. Also if anyone would like to play with my Peterson Strobe Tuner, I will have that on hand.

If you hear a GHB piper that isnt quite as high pitched… that would be my A chanter.

Brian in a kilt? This is going to take many bottles of Jameson’s and years of expensive therapy to get that mental image of of my mind

Better make some appointments with Dale quick then!

I’m just recovering from the pictures of Tom in a kilt. I forsee a long road to recovery ahead of me

Mack : I truly wish I did not live 2000 miles East. Enjoy yourselves…Best to all.
Byll

Just remeber to bring sunglasses Ron. DARK sunglasses. Preferably with a light transmission of less than 1%!!

I bet BETH think I got cute knees!

B~

Hehe I haven’t seen you in a kilt yet, though, so I wouldn’t know!

But I am bringing a camera!

Hey Mack,
Check your e-mail, I just wrote you for directions

Bri, buddy, you’re makin’ me nervous. I still need directions to your new place or I may have to bypass SLC and go straight to GJ. You’ve got till 3 to get them to me!

Edit - Nevermind, taken care of. Whew!

Well, with the weather here I don’t think I am going to make it, snow in the mountains and chain laws in effect in the passes. Unless it clears dramatically before tomorrow I can’t justify taking my daughter and wife through that so I can have some fun.

Hi Ron,
I can’t fault you for your caution, but you know Colorado weather, so we’re still hoping to see you!
Mack

I just Drove to Silverthorne and back today. (Thursday)The Roads where Dry as a bone.

There was some snow sticking alongside the Road (Vail Pass) And yes, it did try to snow a little bit but none of the flakes actually contacted the ground. I have seen it much worse in the middle of June.. or the 4th of July for that matter. You might wait and see the extended forcast on Friday, before calling off just yet.
