I’m cleared for takeoff! I will definitely be attending the Grand Junction Celtic Fest in September. Anyone else coming? I should have my C&F shirt by then…
I really want to go, but I just don’t know how my finances will be by then. Are you flying? When are you going, coming back? Do you know the cost of the festival yet?
I’d love to come and break in my new O’Briain improved Feadog (just got it yesterday and it was hard to put it down to come into work this morning!)

Get in touch with Mack Hoover guys…
He can give you al the details at to when, where, how much and all that.!
Susan, I’m planning on going down on Friday and coming back on Sunday. Driving. Don’t know the cost but I hope to work a bit to earn my keep.
We are having a planning meeting this Saturday, and I’ll probably have some updated info to share afterward. We are going to host some fun time at my house, and there will surely be sessions at different places as well.
Mack
Hi Mack! We’re in the chat room if you want to come in.

I’m working on it, be patient!
The dates for the GJ Fest are September 21 and 22.There are still some things not completely worked out and some we are going to play by ear (pun intended).
I have some passes for a few of you.Email me if interested. A day pass is $7.00 otherwise. Brian and Beth you will get in by being volunteers. Any of you that want to jam at the Irish information booth are welcome all day both days. We can organize our band to play on stage when there are no other events. The beer booth will be open to jamming continually, and I expect Bill Tiernan will have the illans going most of the day— and Brian won’t be denied.
Bill wasn’t at the meeting, but I expect he will have sessions Saturday night. You can come to my place after the fair closes if you want, and I think there may be some activity at the Adams Mark. The bluegrass session will go from 7 to 9 (maybe 10 if we’re nice) at Higher Grounds across 12th from Mesa College. I’ll be heading there after supper. I don’t know when whistlemaking will happen, but we’ll work it in somewhere.
The hotels are booked for soccer events and other fests so be sure to check ahead. I don’t know about the camping parks, but you better plan ahead there, too.
B&B private message.

Rock Mountain Sessioneers is on the schedule for performing on stage four times Saturday and five times Sunday. We are the opening act at 10:00 both mornings. I’m trying to get some local talent involved. We will be doing the last show both days with the Celtic singers, so I have some tunes for you to learn if you don’t know them already. These times on stage are in addition to all the time all day you want to play wherever and whenever you feel like it around the park. I don’t think busking is against the law here, but I’ll check!
If you are planning on attending and want to join the band let me know and I’ll email you the songs the singers are doing. We are on our own to fill each fifteen minute slot with whatever thrills us. Seriously we need to plan a program! Give me input! We can rehearse Friday night at my place and a while each morning. Free whistles to all who participate!
Mack

Hey Guys,
Had a long chat with the Mrs., she had so much fun last night that she wants to go the GJ so if I can get the time off from work (May involve a dead relative dying again but it’s for a good cause) we’ll be there. Probably get in late afternoon-early evening Friday.
See you guys there
