Great Rocky Mountain Session 2002
Salt Lake City.
July 19-20th.
We’ve got initial confirmation on two sessions this summer. If there are any Salt Lake area whistlers (etc.) who would like to attend, please send an email to uilleann_craic@yahoo.com and I’ll fill you in on the details.
Looking forward to seeing you there!

Still planning on it–I’ll be there with a viking helmet on my head and a tune in my heart!
Tom
Great Tom,
we’ll be expecting you. Still not sure if you’ll be all by your lonesome i guess huh?

So Mack,
Any word on Colorado players heading through your neck of the woods for the GRMS 2002?? I’ve still got an open space for one more with Heather and I here that weekend!
Bri~
Hey Brian, I’ll be there.
We should get Tshirts made up or something, hehe =)
–Beth
Hey Beth, do you need a palce to stay then? I haven’t heard for sure. We have room for one more.
B~
Hey Bri - any songs we could be working on? I know so few (and most of them airs) that I’d really like to at least be able to play one or two along with everybody else. The only one I can play confidently is “Off to California.”
Of course, having never played in front of another human being - other than my forgiving daughter (who encourages any “hobbies” I pick up as I get older - I was very surprised when she scoffed at the basket weaving) - I’ll be so terrified there’s no saying if I’ll be able to play even that one song without fouling up.
Any suggestions on commonly played tunes that won’t scare me off?
Susan
Also, since I know folks might like to know some of the tunes that might be played and as such, have a chance to practice one or two before coming out, here’s a list of some of the tunes we commonly play in SLC:

And will we have to wear a bag over our heads if we bring (shh…) sheet music?
Susan
NAW!
Several of our sessioneers use music, but there are also those of us who don’t. It’s not a big deal really. Just come prepared to play for a while, or at least listen.
They bunch here is really quite open to new players. Just don’t strangle your way through tunes you don’t know…on a bodhran! That’s when we start passing the pen-knife your way!
B~
Hey Beth,
Check your emails when you have a chance OK?
