FS: Martin Doyle keyless D flute with originial case (SOLD)

I’m selling my keyless flute (D) made by and bought from Martin Doyle of County Clare in spring of 2007. I have the original case to sell with it - Martin makes his own unique cases for his flutes. I have cared for the flute as Martin instructed, with regular oiling of the bore and some on the exterior wood of the flute, along with regular cork grease on the cork. I have also kept the flute in moderate and appropriate temperatures to keep it in good shape. I’ve been complemented on the flute’s sound by the likes of Kevin Crawford at the Swannanoa music camp, who stated it was an excellent session flute. Its sound is robust. The reason I am selling it is that I have learned over time that I need a small-handed flute - this flute just does not fit me ergonomically (I have very small hands, narrow fingers).

I bought this flute for close to $850 at that time (converted from purchase in euros), and I’m selling it for $800 now. Feel free to contact me with questions! I can send you pictures, too, including photos of flute, the certificate of purchase from Martin, and the case.

What style, what is it made of and what kind of rings?

Do post a picture. Use photo bucket and link it here.

And also post this in the used intrument exchange forum if you already haven’t.

Martin Doyle’s flutes are great. My first flute was a Doyle and I still play it now and then. Would never sell it and even have keyes fitted on it as we speak. Grand instruments.

Thanks for the replies. I should have written that the flute is African Blackwood with silver rings. And I figured out how to post the photos:
