Drumshanbo and the Joe Mooney Summer School of Music once again for me this year. I WOULD NOT recommend going there next year. If you have plans to attend then PLEASE cancel them at this moment and forever suppress any embers that may burn in your brain and cause you to think you might want to go to Drumshanbo next summer. Willie Week is for YOU!!! Really!!!
Hey Sean from Enniskillen, contact me off list at glands@comcast.net and say hello.
Trying to keep pillocks like me from showing up and ruining the signal to noise ratio, eh?
Glad you had fun, I hope to go there sometime, it sounds like you had some quality instruction and performances up there.
So when is Mikie Smyth going to record a solo CD?
Glands,
We need a tounge-in-cheek emoticon.
Ted
Neillidh was in top form for the advanced classes. No word on a Mickie Smyth CD as far as I know. He taught intermediates. Can’t recall the name of the fella who taught beginners. we had an advanced class in the Famine Graveyard to honor Piper Gorman who is buried there…learned Gorman’s reel. Photos on Neillidh Mulligan’s website.
Neillidh has a new CD and it is superb. His piping has, IMHO, become much more distinctive and representative of himself since The Leitrim Thrush CD.
Pat, we need folks like you to help cancel out some of the noise. Sure would be a real treat if one or more of my fellow American pipers would join me in Drumshanbo someday. I am, however, becoming friends with folks from all over Europe having attended each of the past three consecutive three years.
I’d be delighted to go next year, I’ve been sticking around home lately to save money for a new weapon of mass destruction from the K&Q shop. It should be absolutely beautiful, I can hardly contain myself.

Sean, Glands=Lewis…contact me via e-mail mentioned above. I’ve got a Q or two for you.
