Canadian Pipers

Since I practically live on Timmy’s you’re fairly close to the heart of the matter. Its just that “We are Rolling up the Rim to Play Again” doesn’t seem to have any relevant literary references.

Sorry, I keep forgetting that relevance has always been a prerequisite to post anything on this board…

Hey guys and gals,

Uilleann.ca will be a site that will blow your minds in a few years. I’ve given myself a personal project regarding makers and players of pipes around the globe that is sure to be a lasting compendium of images and dialogue. but you will have to wait a while. If anyone knows of a philanthropist that in interested in Irish culture, specifically regarding music and th u-pipes, give them my email!! I will require about $300 k in funding to realize the potential of this project. I have a long way to go and will need much assistance over the next three years.

BTW, Peter Laban has been exceptionally gracious and generous by allowing us to use his significant and marvellous images of Chris Langan. Truly, Peter has a catalogue of photography that is simply unsurpassed. Huge compliments are owed to Peter for having enough insight and devotion to point and click and capture irreplaceable moments.

BTW, I’m in Markham - just northeast of Toronto.

Paul, I’ve always wanted to ask - why do you spell the word “uilleann” starting with a “T” on the home page of Uilleann.ca?

djm

It’s a stuttering problem.

Hey Paul,

How’s it going? Long time no speak since CLW 05. I meant to ask you, will you be able to make it to Joe K’s reedmaking thing in Kingston,ON this weekend?

upiper71

Not even a remote chance of making it I’m afraid. Waaaaay too busy!

Say “hi” to Joe for me!

Who’s that? I could use a lesson.
