I am thinking of packing up my pipemaking shop and moving to Canada.
Is there anyone on the list that has any information that would be helpful?

Eric Reiswig (who has posted to this board, I believe) makes pipes. Last I heard he was over the strait in Victoria (canada’s riviera!) BC.
This site hasn’t been updated since 2003 http://www3.telus.net/ereiswig/

but maybe you can reach him one way or another.

You might check with Joe Kennedy, who liked pipemaking in Canada so well he packed up and moved to Northern Ireland.

piper/pipe maker, since Joe Kennedy moved to Ireland.
My wife and I are thinking things over, but as of yet, made no exact plans.

If you have that stamp it’d be worth quite the $$$ from 1906 circa.
Anyone hear from Joe K. since he has moved to Armagh. No.Ireland.
Joe says he’s doing fine, lots of orders coming in, and he has had a chance to sit in on a quite few sessions. He likes the Irish sense of time - no-one is in a rush to get anything, so he feels no pressure. However, he says he’s not so keen about that same sense of time when he wants something himself - takes forever to get anybody to move. 
Anyway, he got what he wanted. He’s in the thick of things, with top pipers galore falling out of the rafters, and good sessions all around him, things that just don’t exist in Canada (yet).

PJ, “wide open” was a joke about beaver on another thread.
Joe does not have a PC yet, and only has irregular access to one. However, I can give you his cell number if you need to get a hold of him.
