The link to www.savethesheep.com in my signature had given someone trouble, so I tried to find the original thread in which Cynth had posted a lamb picture – the one where I got my blue ribbon for joining the 1K Club (Thank you! Thank you!) – and I made a horrifying discovery.
Unable to find the thread on the first page, I went to the second, only to see that I had no recollection of a lot of the thread titles there. Not being accustomed to having so many posts appearing each day, I never checked the second page. I’ve been glancing down the first and . . . that’s all.
By my estimate, I’ve been missing at least 25% of the postings . . . possibly more if I’m not logging in frequently.
This is terrible! Not only am I missing Things of Interest, but I’ve been missing out on opportunities to share lambish opinions and advice with my fellow Chiffers! Who knows how much suffering and/or deprivation has been the result!
Not only that, but I could have been in the 2K Club by now, instead of just the 1K!
I’m going to have to spend the whole weekend catching up.
Lamby, when you come on do you click on the “View all posts since last time I came” option? If you do that, won’t you see everything?
If you are doing this and you mean that you didn’t notice that sometimes there is a page 2 (probably this is what you mean), well I think most often there isn’t a page 2 and I don’t think you have missed that much. Although I guess it would depend on how often one checked the posts. Yes, I am an idiot.
Really missing 25% is a good thing isn’t it? Surely at least 25% of the topics wouldn’t be of interest. Well, I guess you didn’t get to pick the 25% you missed. You just have to put this behind you Lamby and move on. You can do it!!! There will be new things of interest.
