I had one in the early sixties. I don’t remember any horseshoes(but then I don’t remember a lot of things). Mine was bought in an upscale department store’s toy department. He had white hair and a white jacket and pants outfit. There were other outfits that could be bought for the things, but mine never had a change of clothes. I think he may still be at my Mom’s house somewhere. I’ll have to look…
Mine had blue hair. I think I saw the clothes you could buy and decided even though I’m no seamstress I could do that! It’s probably packed in a box someplace.
