Hammy Hamilton Cocus 6-Key Flute (pix+ clip at bottom)

Post by Brazenkane »

This is not for sale!

...I just thought yous would enjoy the display of absolutely superb workmanship. The flute is brilliant on every front. It plays loud, quietly, and anything inbetween. The "leaf-less" sprung keys are great looking and every key is set to the perfect touch. I suppose 30+ years of flute making might do that to a fellow! Take note of the key configuration which is set up for a "piper's grip." I have a sister one coming in Eb shortly and I'll be sure to post those snaps as well.

Enjoy!

Wow - nice cannon! It looks huge in the pix & really pretty keywork. If you post some audio clips I'll certainly give a listen. Congratulations & enjoy!

Is that Mopane?
And now there was no doubt that the trees were really moving - moving in and out through one another as if in a complicated country dance. ('And I suppose,' thought Lucy, 'when trees dance, it must be a very, very country dance indeed.')

No, no, no. Cocus, as in the thread title. It just may look a bit fresh right now (so do his blackwood flutes), but bound to turn dark soon enough.

I suspect it will be about 50 years...

Does it take that long for Cocus? My Hammy blackwood turned black pretty quick. And I wash my hands first.

Gosh, that's a nice flute.
Hope it doesn't age quickly, that fresh Cocus wood is stunning.

Man, I'm clumsy, and yet I haven't had any
