Hate, hate, hate Mr Bean.chas wrote:And the Mr Bean episode with the goose stuck on his head.
A total waste of Rowan Atkinson's considerable talent.
I opened this thread with the intention of listing Mister Magoo's Christmas Carol - but you beat me to it. I haven't seen it in a few years; I don't know if it still runs on cable. If not, then it's a shame.Charlene wrote:Any version of A Christmas Carol - the Magoo version is fun.

The fellows at MST3K also ripped into a Mexican kids movie called "Santa Claus." Has to be the weirdest movie they've ever done. Santa lives in space, has a gang of multi-cultural children instead of elves, and has an ongoing duel of good and evil against the devil. This year, "Pitch" is sent up from hell to foil Santa.brewerpaul wrote: On a different note, last night we watched Santa Claus Defeats The Martians and had a blast!

Here's the original verson. Good(or bad, depending on your point of view) even without the MST3K.

You can get a copy of the MST3K verson from the many people on the web who offer copies. I don't think this one has been released by Rhino yet.
Another Christmas-y MST3K movie is the russian film, Jack Frost. This was never goofed on as a Christmas film, but Jack Frost is a well known(for the east) children/family holiday movie. It was terribly dubbed and is filled with russian fairy tails that no westerner would understand, so the movie looks and sounds rediculous. The MST3K verson is hysterical. Again, you can obtain a fan copy.
The three MST3K movies make a nice trilogy that will chase away the sugar and sweet of the holiday spirit!
