I also ommitted the late Kurt Cobain. More fine shouting than you can shake a stick at. 'Sliver' and 'Teen Spirit' to name but two.
And whether the blood be highland, lowland or no.
And whether the skin be black or white as the snow.
Of kith and of kin we are one, be it right, be it wrong.
As long as our hearts beat true to the lilt of a song.
And whether the skin be black or white as the snow.
Of kith and of kin we are one, be it right, be it wrong.
As long as our hearts beat true to the lilt of a song.
Lord Iffy Boatrace, the air-raid siren himself, Mr. Bruce Dickinson.

She plays guitar, too. (And whistle, but not usually on recordings.)Tyler Morris wrote:Neither does the guitarist...is he Joe Satriani by chance?Cranberry wrote:Mabey.amar wrote:cran, ye like sinéad, eh?

My favorite Moment in Shouted Lyrics was on the album Long John Silver by Jefferson Airplane/Starship/Minibus/Whatever-they-were-calling-themselves-at-the-time. There's a song called "Eat Starch Mom", a rant about chemical additives in food, the undernourished poor and about pica in pregnant women. There's a point in the track where Grace Slick howls out, "Ah, I don't care if there's chemicals in it...as long as my lettuce is crrrrRISP!" Cracked me up.
