I also ommitted the late Kurt Cobain. More fine shouting than you can shake a stick at. 'Sliver' and 'Teen Spirit' to name but two.
And whether the blood be highland, lowland or no.
And whether the skin be black or white as the snow.
Of kith and of kin we are one, be it right, be it wrong.
As long as our hearts beat true to the lilt of a song.

She plays guitar, too. (And whistle, but not usually on recordings.)

screaming and moaning.

How about Ann Wilson of Heart? A lot of her singing in Heart's songs would qualify.

Tell us something.: Been a fluter, citternist, and uilleann piper; committed now to the way of the harp.

Oh, yeah: also a mod here, not a spammer. A matter of opinion, perhaps.

My favorite Moment in Shouted Lyrics was on the album Long John Silver by Jefferson Airplane/Starship/Minibus/Whatever-they-were-calling-themselves-at-the-time. There's a song called "Eat Starch Mom", a rant about chemical additives in food, the undernourished poor and about pica in pregnant women. There's a point in the track where Grace Slick howls out, "Ah, I don't care if there's chemicals in it...as long as my lettuce is crrrrRISP!" Cracked me up.

GOOD ONE!

"The Great Gig In the Sky," Pink Floyd.

Clare Torrey, I believe was the woman called in to do the very literal musical screaming for this song. It is incredible.
