Flute AND whistle AND ?
I posted this poll on the wistle board and was told many fluters don't often go there so I'm adding this survey here.
I found a number of names of both boards and wondered how many play more than one or only one of the flute, whistle, and now adding pipes.
Thanx for joining and being counted.

I voted for flute and whistle, but I was sorely tempted to buy a set of smallpipes a few weeks ago. A local player has taken to make very nice pipes and was setting next to me at the local session playing a set.
So far I've resisted the tempation mainly based on the fact I want to buy an octave mandolin.

This is a bit interesting. I used to visit the whistle board once a day before, when I just played the whistles, but since I started playing flute about a year (or somethingBillG wrote:I posted this poll on the wistle board and was told many fluters don't often go there so I'm adding this survey here.

My father plays the clarinet and he has a beautiful one here. I just took it up and looked at it, and guess what is stamped nicely into 3 of the sections: Boosey and Hawkes London.
My, do I which it was a Flute
. It looks like cocus wood it's made of, a very dark brown with the most beautiful redish brown grain. I have no idea of when it's made. It says 79629 on the LH section.
I wonder what the key work is made of.

Flute, coming up on one year, whistle, just over two. I also play bodhran (And you can all piss right off with your bodhran jokes, I've heard them.BillG wrote:I posted this poll on the wistle board and was told many fluters don't often go there so I'm adding this survey here.
