Go play your pipes
Glands, I think your most important point is that you got a full Bb set for only $4K. If you have to do a bit of work, but end up with a superior sounding set of pipes, and a set that has some historical significance to boot, you still got a great deal. Others carping about the set being in less than mint condition aren’t really in the running, so their opinions are so much hot air. It’s you, the owner, who must ultimately be satisfied with the purchase.

Glands,
I, for one, like that you are giving a description of your findings and efforts to adjust the WR set. Since we are in the same state, I’d love to see and hear the set some day. Any chance a sound clip may be posted in the future?

What is the synonym for synonym?
Glands, talk about throwing fat on the fire! Now you’ll have to explain why you’re selling the chanter. Do you already have one? Does the BA chanter not meet your needs?

Yes, do tell
Why did his wife buy those pipes?
It would be great to match up a Leo Rowsome Bb chanter with the rest of the Willie Rowsome set. Willie only made 1 Bb set and you have it but thats not to say he didn’t make any more Bb chanters. Its possible.
This is only a suggestion but since W. Rowsome copied an Egan set, it may be an idea to try to get your hands an Egan Bb copy. An original would, of course, be better but very scarce.
Congratulations on your new set anyway!
