Westcoast Tionol Seattle Feb 2008

Never mind these cheap knock-offs. Come to the first, the original US Tionol.
Please consider joining us in Seattle for our get-together on Presidents’ Day Weekend. Nice damp weather! Just what you need to get over the longest month of the year.

February 15 - 17, 2008

Great News!!! Mickey’s back!! Now I have to practice Planxty Browne that he taught at SF’s tionol last year.

Could they not convince you to cast your piping gaze upon the huddled squeezers 'o Tom? Might a nice slice of lemon cake coerce you? Or a delicious apple perhaps?

PD.

C’mon up Pat and you’ll be cast upon all right.

We’ll be there with the baby. No late nights for us this year…

J.

I’ll be there to make up for feadogin’s lack of late nights…Don’t say you weren’t warned…

How could I refuse

PD.

Fair warning to Seattle tionol attendees…DO NOT put yourself in a position where you are dependent on Father d’Arcy for transportation home from an after hours session if you like the state of existence that most of us refer to as sleep…as you may not get very much of that at all. But…the music you’ll hear him play will be damn good! So, weigh it for yourself and do what feels right.

HAHA! Thanks doc! That was an enormous maze we were travelling through that night. That whole area around Ballard is hard to get out of… probably  Also, don’t ask me to drive around San Francisco / Oakland … madness there too. Rome… I can handle though, I have no idea why!? Is there a Roman Tionol?

This is the end of the mass, go in peace,

Fr. Pat

But first, let us give each other a sign of peace…
like, how’s about you give me a loan of the Sisters of Mercy for, say 5 years.

HAHA! Shurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrre… lemme think about th - NO!

PD.

Bump!

Hey Seattlites,

Any hotel recommendations? The place I stayed last time around has gone “upscale” (i.e. doubled their rates). Suggestions?

Thanks,

Larry

Bad news here, John has to go to China so it looks like I might not make it after all. My brother-in-law said he would meet me up there and babysit for me, but just the thought of trying to get all of my equipment around at the airport by myself while carrying Eoghan seems pretty impossible.

NOOOOOO!!!

NOOOOOO!

Surely you could organize some willing pipe-caddies for transportation to/from the airport…

Looks like I may be set; I think Nicola might help me out a bit. Hope to see you all there after all!

J.

Hey all,
I’ve lucked into the opportunity to be in Seattle on that weekend so I’m going to sign up. I’m not a piper [ducking quickly] but don’t hold it against me. I’m a fluter and I’ll probably take the classes from Leo McNamara. And I have a flute made by a piper (Dave Williams) - does that count?

I’m looking forward to it since it’s the first Tionol I’ve been to. Hope to see a coupla Chiffers there.

If you see a hyper little 1 year old running around that’ll be mine.

J.
