Unfortunately for personal reasons I have to sale my own full set of pipes. They are concert pitch, in boxwood, brass and imitation ivory. The set has a lot of caracter, you don’t see alot of concert pitch fullsets made of boxwood. The chanter and regs are based on Leo Rowsome and the drones are based on Crowley. This is a great combination and the pipes are very easy to reed. The tone and tuning are excellent. The reserve wasn’t met on ebay and so I am dropping my price to 6500 euros instead of the 7000 I was looking for originally. In all fairness it is a very good price as Froment used to charge 10000 euros 2 years ago and other makers charge more than this as well as having huge waiting lists! I would like to emphasize that this is an exceptionnal set as I am sure you can all hear on the youtube video. I forgot to say in my earlier post that the chanter has scalloped tone holes and all the key blocks are lined with metal. I have been playing them professionally and they are by far my favourite set! There are beautiful bellows with the pipes, they are made of cherry with some ebony inlay and french polished and handstitched as opposed to nailed. They have leather pads (for hip and elbow) also handstitched. The leather is double thickness the outer layer being deer skin. They are a few years old and have a lovely patina as a result. They are totally airtight and very powerful. There is a box included with the set.
