Seth Gallagher - Half Set in D with fully keyed chanter
I purchased the set from a gentleman in New York
Started out as a practice set in 1998 or 1999 (Chanter #69)
He added drones in 2000
I bought it in 2006 and got the chanter keyed (C nat., G #, B flat & F nat.)
Currently has Bruce Childress drone reeds and a chanter reed from Seth made in 2006
The brass ferrule on the drone stock split and should be replaced. After talking with a friend who’s apprenticing with a pipe maker in California, I got the impression it was an imperfection in the brass and that it’s an unusual occurrence.

Current price for a half set is $4975 and another $500 to have the chanter fully keyed. So to buy this set new it’d run $5475 along with a 2 and a half year wait.

Similar vintage with a keyless chanter asking price $3500
I’d be happy to sell my set for $3750 + shipping as it needs that new ferrule, but will consider any reasonable offer! I’m going to Ireland in August for the fleadh ceoil and could use the money. I’m located in Santa Cruz, CA.
