Full set of Seth Gallagher pipes in D, they have the taylor regulator bass bar fitted. Playing lovely. In Brass, chanter has two keys fitted, the high C and F natural key, there is a mark on bottom of the stock were the set rests on the knee. Purple Velvet bag. Hard Case included in sale. I am selling these on behalf of one of my students who no longer has the time to commit to playing them. Just to clarify is that price is in sterling?

It’s probably a bit far-fetched for me to think you might have meant euros.

Did the set start out as a practice set? I ask because, unless Seth went back to his old design, the chanter mounts suggest pre-2002 or older.

I’m not entirely sure perhaps they are pre 2002. Mine was a guess.

I like Seth’s old “Rowsomesque” design for his concert pitch chanters but I prefer the “Eganesque” look for his flat chanters.

I was told that the newer ‘bulb’ design had been based on an old chanter that belonged to JOBM, and at one point had seen a picture of the original. Does anybody have any other information in regards to the original chanter/set, ie who the original maker was?

To correct myself, the newer design seems to be based on Kenna. Here’s a set owned by Ronan Browne.
