I was messin around flutesite.com, and found a great 12 string guitar/clarke sweet tone song. The guy wrote it for his wife before they were married, but it does go on for a bit too long. …just in case any wanted to know…
Thank you for the kind comments.
I wrote the melody; Pat McReynolds wrote and plays the guitar part.

This is played on a Sweetone D whistle.

Hello James,
It’s very important to offer encouragement to people that give it there very best! So I’ll be the first to say and glad to say, GREAT job James!
It has a nice softness to it I really enjoyed! I’m sure that your wife is very proud. I look forward to your next composition!
P.S. I have heard some of your sample’s on “Clips And Snips”. Keep up the good work! O.k. lets all offer some support to one of our very own, Mr. James Peeples! Lets here it for James guys!
Hip,
Hip,
And BTW,
That’s lovely, James. I think I like that the best of anything I’ve heard of yours.
Best wishes,
Jerry
HOORAY!!!
Really lovely tune, James. Delicately played.
Beautiful and soothing. I just played it on my computer here in the office. Everyone liked it a lot.
Folks, I sure do appreciate the kind words!
I am a little blown away: that is an old recording, made in 1999…my wife and I were married on Oct 10, 2000.
I have since occasionally written other pieces (usually “pseudo-IrTrad”) but I don’t think any piece of music I’ve ever written had quite the importance to me of Shannon’s Song, and that because of the look in her eyes when she first heard us play it.
No matter what else happens in this life, I look at my lovely wife…right now she’s at her computer deep in concentration and not even realizing that I’m looking at her…and I realize that no matter what else happens, I am a very very lucky man. I love her so much…each day it only gets stronger.

Yes, yes, very cute and sweet!

I came across the recording months ago. I loved it then and I love it now. I’ve wanted to learn it since I first heard it but I’m not far enough along in my whistle playing to pick thigns up by ear.
Do you by any chance have some sheet music or ABC or anything else that would help me learn this song?
Here’s an ABC for it:
