That looks absolutely gorgeous. Very tempting …
Also R&R 3934 (should be a new add to the DB)
Nice small holes sold with Hammer Price £1,150 (plus 21% and fees).
Thanks Francesco, I missed this one. I’ve added R&R 3934 to the Rudall register just now. A complete Rudall & Rose with original box, cleaning rod and grease pot. Looks like a patent head too, but maybe just a silver end cap? A repaired crack through the embouchure that looks stable and corked tenons. Did you get it Francesco?
No, I was not convinced by the photographs. Nice flute anyway maybe just something not totally right for me.

I see now that the tenons have the original thread on them, not cork as I thought at first glance. Great condition and the box is nearly like new and complete with all accessories, including extra thread. I haven’t seen that before. Hope it went to a player
No I was wrong. It is cork on the tenons, not thread as I thought.
Rudall & Rose no. 177 with patent head, conical body, Boehm system went for £1800 hammer price. Is there anyone using one of these conical bodied, Boehm system Rudalls to play Irish traditional music?
Correction: Rudall & Rose 5451 will be Off to California not Rudall & Rose 3934 as previously stated
That would be a good name for a tune - “Off to California” !!!
