The 9th Annual Queen Maeve International Summer School Festival of Irish Music song and Dance will be held from 4th to 9th August inclusive.
VENUES: - SLIGO I.T., CLARION HOTEL AND SLIGO CITY HOTEL.
DAILY music, singing and sean nos dancing classes for beginners, intermediate and advanced, will be held from 10am to 5pm in Sligo I.T. from the 4th to the 8th August which will include classes in sean nos dancing, traditonal singing english and irish, tin whistle, flute, fiddle, bodhran, mixed instruments( accordion, banjo and concertina).
9th August - SLIGO CITY HOTEL - ALL DAY set dancing classes from 10am to 5pm.
9th August - CLARION HOTEL- FAREWELL CEILI with Swallows Tail Ceili Band starting 9.30pm
EVENING ENTERTAINMENT from 4th to 7thAugust - CLARION HOTEL - 8.30 NIGHTLY - This includes music recitals/sessions, traditonal singers night and tutors concert.
