need a beginner flute (plastic or wood imitation)

Hello. as mentioned need just a simple used beginner irish flute in price range 100-150$. (Except dixon combos, though a 3-piece that i once tried was good - maybe somebody has one ?) I’m in the Usa now for some weeks, but unfortunatelly budget is very poor. Thanks !

Get a Doug Tipple’s flute. You won’t regret, I promise!

Yep. Doug makes great flutes, and he’s a nice guy to deal with, too. Be sure to get the Tipple-Fajardo Wedge if you get a flute from him. It’ll help the overall tuning between octaves. I’ve also heard that his lip plate head joint makes a great addition as well, although I don’t have one myself, since he wasn’t making them when I bought my flute from him.

HTH,

dow

The Tipple is great a price/performance flute. I bought mine from Doug with the wedge and lip plate.

It’s still my only flute…I’ve had it for 6 months.

Here’s a very good deal (only $60 shipped) on a used Tipple with lip plate and wedge, if it’s still available:

Tipple. I’d also suggest the offset fingering or a three piece, if reach is an issue. (It was for me.)
