It's almost Christmas!

Well, November is well under way and before you know it " Ole you know who" will be coming down the chimney. So what whistle does everyone hope Santa is going to put in their stocking? I’m hoping for my first mid-priced whistle. Maybe a GFM ,Thornton or a S.Z.B.E. I sure hope the Big Guy’s listening! (I’ve been good  )

A Thornton with an ebony head. It’ll be in my stocking if I have to put it there myself.

I have a GFM (Tucson Whistler, thanks  ), so I don’t need Santa.
But, well… Maybe copeland of sterling silver, or abell blackwood…

To be serious, I need some loud whistle for sessions and outdoor playing, but I don’t think there’s Santa is going to bring me that.

I want two Whitecap fipples, one each for my brass C and D Generation tubes.

Then hopefully I can put an Everywhistle on my list.

I really want a Shaw A whistle, tried one out in a music shop and it sounded beautiful.

Well, my collection is almost complete, the only keys I miss right now are low C, low E, low Eb, high F and high G (and forget the rare ones that you can find below the low C). I think I want a Dixon tunable low C and because the high F en high G are so cheap I hope I can get those too :smiling_imp:
Low E and low Eb are maybe for over a while, but the only key I really want now is the low C.

I have a Thornton D on order  aaaaaannnnnnnnd aSindt D on order  Just hoping the thorton gets here before christmas

Hi

Ohmygawd, not again! Is this going to happen every year? Please spare us for at least another five weeks!

Double, sorry

Today is like Christimas to me. I asked for a high C, high Eb, high F and high G Susatos and they arrived in this day. I can’t be happier, I’m like a kid! LOL!!

I don’t celebrate Christmas, so, Santa won’t bring me any whistles :frowning:

Santa? We don’t need no stinkin’ Santa to get whistles.

I live in another part of the country than my family, and my birthday is in the beginning of January, which means my family usually combines my birthday with xmas.

This time i turn 30, so i’ve tried to negotiate with my family to give me a Burke Viper instead of celebrating. I hope i’ve succeded.

My parents are still pretty deer-in-the-headlights about my whistle obsession. They’ll probably get me a hefty giftcard to Dusty Strings here in Seattle.

If I could, I’d love to get a wooden whistle, perhaps a Sweetheart. They look lovely and sound terrific. But then again, I like being surprised for Christmas. :stuck_out_tongue:

My wife sez that I am really hard to buy for but I don’t think she takes the time to find out. Well, maybe I do the same thing with her but…what’s so hard about putting an order in with Chris Abell?

Well, the Sweetheart Low D is great i think. But i discovered that one after i told them about the Viper.
