Here is a fingering chart that I have at my website. You will see that it is a little different from the classical silver flute, but not too much.

Thanks a million!!!
I guess it would depend on if your flute has keys or not.
if it has no keys it is pretty straight forward every thing closed is D and by lifting one finger at a time from the bottom up you get the D major scale. The second octave is the same, you may want to open the very top hole of the flute to vent the 2ond octave D. (I never played the modern flute but i assume it has to be kind of like a sax)
Mr. Tipples page is a good visual of this with half holeing for the notes that do not fall on the D major scale.
If you have keys there are real fingering charts out there Terry McGee but basically what ever key opens a hold just bellow your current fingering will sharp the fingering so if you are fingering an E for example you just look for the key that will open just bellow your lowest closed finger a depress the key; You will get an F.
The foot works differently because some of the keys are naturally open instead of natrually closed but if you think about how it works you can figure out every thing reasonably well in the 1st and 2ond octave
Thanks ya it has no holes so that helps!!!
I think the salesman did a number on you.
haha obviously i ment it has no keys!! Sorry
Please let us know how things go.
