I recently sold off some whistles, pruning to my Overtons, Humphreys, a Busman and some cheapies. Some Copelands showed up FS on the board and having neither played nor heard such, I picked up a D and a Bb. The Bb is great. My wife thinks it sounds like one of the larger low whistles.
I also love the D-it plays and sounds with a different voice than any of my other instruments. My wife absolutely hates it! I think it might have something to do with the frequency response curve of her hearing. She has always been extremely sensitive to what is often called “bright” recordings and playback equipment.
