I purchased this one from another board member just before christmas, its in good condition, conical bore and quite lightweight for a flute.
To be honest i have’nt played it all that much but when i did it produced a good tone through the octaves.
My reason for selling is because i’m spending most of my time on another flute at the moment.
I haven’t played a Sweetheart flute in a long time, but liked the couple I played back in my early fluting stages.
But, I just wanted to say that Ashley is an upstanding person to deal with-we’ve bought and sold from each other and he’s always been honest, prompt with payment and shipping. Nice guy too! Just wish I could play like him! ; )
PS It’s pretty hard to find a nice wooden keyless flute for less too!
Yes, cherrywood tends to make a light flute, but a good one.
Ralph Sweet is a fife player, with one heck of a strong lower lip!! And, he is both a dedicated wind instrument maker (although I understand that his son has taken over the business) and a fine person, to meet.
