£1000.00 buy it now - is he joking :boggle:

Not that I would dare pay £1,000 for those things but…

They do look like a half set I recall seeing at “Bagpipes Galore” in Edinburgh…The guy in the shop tried to tell me that they were made by “some bloke up in Fife”, but I knew better…They didn’t seem all that bad, though…Played both octaves, mostly in tune…Tone was not indecent. If Simon McKerrill has actually tried this set out and thinks it’s alright as the seller seems to be suggesting, then they just might be…okay. That’s as far as I’d be willing to go, though. Furat emptor.

Donald offered these to me about a year ago but I bought a Bruce Childress set instead. Didn’t get a chance to try them but I remember seeing a set at Keith’s that he was re-reeding.

His wife is a reedmaker and he said that he was getting the sets sent to him and he would sort out any blemishes and put new reeds in then send them on to be sold in the UK and elsewhere.

In Kirkintilloch there´s nae pubs
and I tell you the reason why
me brother and me went out for a spree
and drank the pubs all dry

No offense meant here, but why post a link to a sale of Pakistani pipes here?

For the newcomers who may not have read it yet, read this now…

Honestly, this stuff has been done and done and done, over and over again. I humbly ask that we do not post topics regarding the sale of Pakistani Pipes on Ebay. Please.

Thanks.
