I am thinking of sending a couple of Rovers, my new three piece pocket whistles, on a tour of the USA. One would have a copper fipple and the other Delrin. Participants would have an option to purchase one of the tour whistles, in which case I would send a replacement to the next stop on the tour.
Send me an email, to david_at_obrienwhistles.com, if you are interested.
Might it be possible to send a non-nickel-plated as one of the two? I’m interested to see if it plays any differently or is just cosmetic. Plus I’m still not sure if I might have a minor nickel allergy.
It looks to be a very interesting concept - sort of a non-telescoping Laughing. Even telescoped, the 6.5" of a laughing is just slightly too long to fit well in a pocket, so the 4" of the Rover should fit nicely.
