They are an Uilleann Pipe starter set… they may play very well with a good reed… but I haven’t heard one to date.
Basically, the standard plastic ‘beginner’ set.
Personally, I am tired of seeing threads popping up about them. ‘Pipers to be’ ought to consider spending the hard earned ‘ka-ching’ on a set by a reputable maker.
I have attempted to play many of these kinds of sets, and have found them to be a lot harder to play (and subsequently ‘Learn’ on) than a ‘real’ set.
A request, and it is ONLY a request, but would those who know about this variety of plastic Starter Set, please stop posting their eBay (or other) sales links here?
