Anticipation

Yeah, you all know what I’m talking about. That period where you are just DYING to get your hands on that new whistle, but it’s not quite here yet.

It’s killing me this week. It will be worse next week I think.

For me, the whistle in question is a C/D set of Purpleheart Rover whistles from David. I drooled over the set that he posted a while back and finally broke down and asked him to make a set for me.

Of course, now I just have to wait for him to make them and send them off. All the while, I’m just…well…like a junky needing a fix.

Thought I’d share my whoa…

Whoa is you.

I opened a thread a time ago, telling the same. There’s nothing worse than WAITING!
Once you are able to get the money and order your whistle/s it’s horrible have to wait till they arrive.

Sometimes people say: “What the heck! But you have other whistles for playing in the meantime!”.
Naaaaah, people who say that DON’T UNDERSTAND US!!! :swear:

Nope, they don’t understand at ALL!

KAC

You whistlers don’t know how lucky you are!

I just ordered a set of Uilleann pipes that won’t be ready for 5 months, which by Uilleann pipe maker standards is positively hasty.

The agony is made the worse by not having any other pipes to play in the meantime.

That’s terrible, man! You have my deepest sympathy, lol!
Really, I think I wouldn’t be able to wait 5 months for an instrument. If I have the money to buy it, I want it NOW

I know!

The anticipation is doing funny things to my mind. The other day i attached a plastic bag to a whistle and pretended it a was a set of pipes…
