I have a Prima Sankyo alto flute with the curved head joint.
I like the curved head joint for ergonomic reasons. However, I understand that the third octave is typically sharp with the curved head joint (as is mine) and is better in tune with a straight head joint.
I did a bit of research and heard that the Chris Abell straight wooden head joint sounds really great on alto flute.
Does anyone have any experience with a Chris Abell straight wooden head joint on alto flute, especially a Prima Sankyo alto flute?
Thanks,
Mark
