Years ago I bought a Cutie-pie and when I unwrapped it, there was mold on the bottom. I have never had this happen with a Twinkie. I'm certain there's a connection here.

That twinkies are so full of preservatives that they will outlast cockroaches..... While Cutie-Pie's are... umm... prone to... mold and.... decay..

Easy : take a magnifier. If you see cheese mite doodlers, then it's OK--edible.
