First of all I'd like to thank the Academy, and then my agent, and of course my mom, and dad (whoever you were), and all the little people, who are still bigger than I'll ever be.

Also I'd just like to thank all the great new friends I've made here. I enjoy you all.

Long live Irish music, the tinwhistle and C&F!

How about a new tune called something like, "The Humors of Oscar?" Image

At least your post have some substance, not just "oh really" types. I always enjoy reading them.

In honor of my 101 th. post, I'd like to officially state, "I spend more time playing the whistle than posting messages."

There are many who have been a member for a shorter time than I, but they have many hundreds more posts. Do you realize what you are doing? If you had a dollar for every post, you would indeed have some nice whistles. But do you? No. See what I mean?

In closing, I wish to thank my company for allowing me access to the Internet. However, the blocking of MP3's was a little too much. But, I digress...

Lastly, a toast to all I've offended, to those I haven't offended, to those I will never offend,to my agent, manager, lawyer, ex-wife, IRS and every other blood-sucker who has ever dipped their hand into my shallow pockets to deprive me of decent whistles! Oh, and world peace.

When I reach 99 posts, I will stop posting as Tubedude. I don't want to give the impression that I'm a loser who only plays on the message board and never really plays the whistle.

If that offends anyone, I am sorry. http://chiffboard.mati.ca/viewtopic.php ... forum=1&27

1.) Congrats on all your input to this board so far, B'hawk -- it is almost always a notch above the mundane daily whinge (& downright spam) of a few others here; and your significant contribution to this board is much appreciated.

2.) How is your improved O'Brien whistle holding up, for you? Still your favorite? Give us a small progress report, willya?

3.) Also, any chance you'll be moving on to the flute, anytime soon?

'luck now,

(he was talking about me, I don't have a thought in my head)

Wow Brian, you have a great memory. I ended up putting the O'Briain on the shelf. It still sounds wonderful, maybe even the best sounding whistle I have, but breath control was difficult. I had a very hard time blowing softly enough to get a reliable bell note on a regular basis. As to the flute, I bought one of Alan Mount's and have been experimenting with it. The flute is my ultimate goal, but it seems a long way off. I have such trouble getting a decent note out of it!

And thanks to all of you for your kind words.
