And I thought I was the only around here one who would even notice that ad. Every time it comes on I stare at his hand positions for that millisecond that they show the close up. I know that all of the audio in TV/movies is edited or dubbed in later but I wanted to see if he was even trying. I guess the most common error is pawing the keys that cover for Bb and F# with L1 and R1 . I still can't tell from that short space of time.

Dreadful. However, it was so-o-o-o-o bad it was almost good. I think it would have spoilt it if it HADN'T been obvious that they'd dubbed in someone playing a flute-like instrument and if they HADN'T even cocked that up by getting the wrong instrument. I would have thought that they'd done both of those things deliberately.

Well, you could hardly fail to notice the overt sexism. But, did you not think that that just added to the general naffness? And somehow fitted in in a sort of uber-naff way that made it almost OK? I mean, personally, I don't think they've really gone far enough to make it work ...

This is so far my favorite comment. With flautists, the embouchure is the jugular vein.

You're right about embouchure. By the way, most flutists of my acquaintance don't care for the word flautist, either.
