Thanks MT and thanks to Peter as well; I just ordered it. It's been a while since I ordered music and I like to listen to tunes especially that I already play, of which there are some on this CD, to get new ideas and play along.

AHh .. look at those titles! What a delicious selection! .. wonder if he'd take whistles .. the whistle-economy y'know.
No currency selection for whistles in the shoping-basket .. damn.
Short story: I beleive Sean has one of Ian Simpson's amazing whistles .. First time I met Ian was at my first exhibition .. not a lot on teh table. Ian introduced himself with "Here's that whistle you ordered!"
"Eeeeh .. erm . ahh .. bah gooom!" says I .. scratching round in the coins in me tin "er .. but that would be me petrol home!"
"Same" says he .. so we went 50/50 .. asume he got home .. I did .. just. Fixed him up later - at twice what he asked . magic whistle.
Sean Potts? Legend - even in those little clips - you can hear it. Well worth the real money!

Re: Seán Potts - Number 6
I just got and listened to mine - I almost don't where to begin, so I'll start by thanking MT Guru and Peter laban for turning me on to this incredible collection of Reels, Jigs, Airs, Hornpipes....
First, the service - arrived quickly from across the sea.
Second, it comes with a neat little booklet of notes on the tunes replete with historical references and pictures of Sean Potts' whistles in his carrying case - including O'Briain Improved and Generations.
Third, I liked every single tune in 20 sections...actively liked, not just tolerated some to get to the others.
Fourth, this features the whistle but has enough terrific accompaniment by guitar, piano, fiddle, pipes and organ so as not to bore or drive some to distraction when listening to just under an hour of music.
Fifth, gorgeous emotional airs are interspersed with toe tapping, hand clapping, head moving dance tunes throughout.
Sixth, this is not background music; I tried to read the NY Times (my usual Real Estate, Travel, Book Review) but could not while listening to this music.
Finally, the proceeds go to the preservation of the music and manufacture of the pipes.
Oh yeah, highly recommended.
His style is so accomplished yet seemingly accessible; not a display of virtuosity.
Maybe I just haven't listened to enough music lately, but I can't imagine anyone who enjoys this music and/or is serious about learning to play the whistle not taking advantage of this opportunity.
No, I have no connection to anyone involved with its production and yes it's just one man's opinion.
Thanks again MT and Peter.

This CD is now in stock at OssianUSA, for those in the US who don't want to mess around with currency conversion, bank fees, etc.

I was so good -- I only ordered the one CD, in spite of the fact that there's also a new one out with Catherine McEvoy on it... I'll save that for next month!

I'd just like to echo what PhilO and the others have said,
got mine today, what a stunning album
If you haven't ordered one you're missing out.

Re: Seán Potts - Number 6
just a question about the reels, track #6,
on this CD that's starting to bug me
'Jackson's I don't know at all, nice reel all the same, but
'Moloney's' I've heard somewhere before,maybe under a
different name but sounds very familiar.
I've tried the session.org and JCtune finder but no luck.
Can anyone help me I'm getting desperate
Thanks
