I don't know how to answer that question. Every week or so I select two or three tunes to work on intensively. At present they are

The Golden Keyboard
The Galway Rambler
King of the Clans
At night, in those corners of our minds we deny by day, magical things can happen in the moon shadows. And if they can't, a) they should, and b) we should always in any event act as if they can. --Roger Ebert

Mimi and the New Generation Polkas & The Antigonish Polkas (thus making a six polka set)I'm counting that as one tune!

Inion Ni Scanlon (or however you spell it)
"O'Scanlon's Daughter"

Einach Dhuin (or however you spell that, again I've seen half a dozen variations.)

(also Roisin Dubh, and half a dozen other slow airs I can't name, couldn't spell if I could, and certainly can't pronounce)

I'm working hard on Mason's Apron - still very tough for me. Easier tunes on my current list are Frost is All Over and Cup of Tea.

Probably if I have to do a quick demo on the whistle, one of these tunes always seems to bubble to the top:

1) Sean Reid's (reel)
2) Willie Coleman's Jig
3) The Claire Jig
4) Humours of Lisheen
5) Killarney Boys of Pleasure

Cheers,

Michael

Wow! No duplication! You people have some great pieces. Bala...I love "Ode To Joy." It's really Beethoven's 9th. So for a beginner you are in good company.

Oh, yeah: also a mod here, not a spammer. A matter of opinion, perhaps.
