Picture a bright blue ball just spinning, spinning free
It's dizzying, the possibilities. Ashes, Ashes all fall down.

Re: Happy Hallowe'en!
We just started to get trick or treaters about half an hour ago.
We've got lots of young families with little kids in our neighbourhood, so we've got lots of little ghouls and goblins coming 'round tonight.
It's so much fun to see all these little tykes having so much fun!
My wife is out with our two little ones, so I get to hand out candy (which is one of my favourite parts of Halloween).
Whoever says Halloween is for the kiddies is only getting half the story!

Re: Happy Hallowe'en!
Worst Halloween ever.
In particular: Light rain led my son to slip on a neighbor's driveway while trick-or-treating -- landed, hard, on his back, leaving him in significant pain. This led to an ER visit, which of course took a while, they were somewhat overbooked. (Silver lining: by the time they finally could examine him, the pain had mostly gone away. No x-rays needed.)
I believe that visit to the ER will cost us a minimum of $100, given my health-care plan. But at least he didn't have to stay in the hospital.
Then, back at home, I discovered that kids, apparently, still do the toilet-paper-in-the-trees thing. Somehow, this surprised me. I thought that went out of fashion decades ago.
Toilet papered trees are hard to get worked up over after a visit to the ER.
Well, here's hoping we didn't pickup H1N1 while we were there!
