Hoping to hear Mick O'Brien play...

Post by Cag »

I'm about to go to Ireland, and ever hoping to kill two birds with one stone, does anyone know if Mick O'Brien has a regular gig anywhere I could roll up for..?

Hum, I remember Mick telling me a few years ago that he mostly enjoyed home sessions. Good luck anyway. :)

Mick has a day job as a teacher (he teaches Irish, I think...), so he doesn't have to play in pubs or tour constantly to make a living. You might want to check the NPU page (http://www.pipers.ie) and see if he's playing in any upcoming performances or sessions that they're putting on.

And you never know... You sometimes wind up bumping into the darnedest people over there strictly by coincidence...
