Tell us something.: I used to be a regular then I took up the bassoon. Bassoons don't have a lot of chiff. Not really, I have always been a drummer, and my C&F years were when I was a little tired of the drums. Now I'm back playing drums. I mist the C&F years, though.

Jeez man..that's awful.

Was it Willie Dixon who said "If it wasn't for bad luck, I wouldn't have no luck at all"

Reminds of a Barney McKenna remark, made on a flight to Australia.

He is very nervous about flying and to ease his mind..in a fashion...somebody, I think it was Luke Kelly, pointed out to him that when your time is up..it's up.

Barneys reply was.."Ah yeah but suppose the pilots time is up?"

Slan,
D. :)
And many a poor man that has roved,
Loved and thought himself beloved,
From a glad kindness cannot take his eyes.

Oh, yeah: also a mod here, not a spammer. A matter of opinion, perhaps.

It would still be everyone's time excepting, of course, any survivors. The Reaper's pretty efficient, no? But, the article suggests that while it just goes to show that even a cat can fall on its back, it will take it from there. If you believe that sort of thing.

Coincidence, of course, but not a comfortable one.

To quote a book I read some years ago, "nature seeks to reassert the pattern that was meant to be." Or something like that.

So there are what, a few thousand people killed worldwide in plane crashes, and a couple hundreds of thousands killed in car crashes. So every time there's a plane crash, within a few days of it there are ten times as many people killed in car accidents. It stands to reason that occasionally, one of the people killed in a car crash would have been booked on a plane that had crashed. Not often, but maybe every decade or so, and the way news works these days, every one of them would be publicized.

There's a spare.
And now there was no doubt that the trees were really moving - moving in and out through one another as if in a complicated country dance. ('And I suppose,' thought Lucy, 'when trees dance, it must be a very, very country dance indeed.')

That was crazy. I read that yesterday, and I was very shocked.
