But he "is a real he-man, afterall"- this, in spite of the skort.

I also have very long legs. As a child, my parents and siblings taunted me as "the ostrich," which I now find funny. But it does make some situations difficult, like getting in a car. :P

My kid is only 5'9" but wears 34" length pants. 32/34, which can only be ordered and not bought cheaply at places like Kohl's.
If he wished to wear a skort, like Joe, the long legs would not pose a problem.

Well, my legs are short. I suppose having really long legs would be odd, though, since I'm only about 5'3" on a good day. In other words, I won't be wearing Joe's skort any time soon :P

You'd literally be all legs.

As a side note, (or maybe it's the main topic now?) I read once that men typically have leaner, longer legs than women. It has to do with men being hunters and women being gatherers or something. Anyway, I present RuPaul

If I had legs like that, I'd wear a skort every day.

I want RuPaul's legs.

Yeah, I would. That might look rather odd. RuPaul can keep the legs, I suppose ;)

Legs like that look nice but then they have to go and make an a@# out of themselves.

See how seriously people take Rand's waffling.

We got to RuPaul in less than two pages.

I take Rand and her ideas very seriously. But I have elaborated on her philosophy, novels, and influence many many times in the past. I figured this thread could be just a reminder of her continuing influence, since the CNN story was published.

By the way, I also take RuPaul seriously. As seriously as she wants herself to be taken. :P

She has a new album out, by the way. She's one of the few drag queens who sings her own music (she doesn't lip synch..and she has a decent voice, believe it or not). :)

wow... Rand to RuPaul... quite a leap. definitely not a boring forum. (been lurking for a while, this is my first post)

i thought i would throw out there that I can't avoid the Rand reference of "John Galt". I have to work with John Galt nearly every day at my job! Or more specifically: i have to work with a suite of software applications from a company called "John Galt Solutions". the founds of the company are huge fans of Rand.

(i work for Burt's Bees.)

Dear Furry:

Welcome. Yep, it sure is an interesting place. I wouldn't have stayed if it wasn't so fun, because let me tell you, these folks can get on a last nerve and then stomp on it just because it's there. I know they're jealous of my name.

ps. very clever way to avoid a stand on Rand.
