It's such a horrible shame....to die so young. May she rest in peace

I saw this earlier.
Liam is a big boy, he'll figure something out. Their sons have neither age or experience on their side. It is to them my heart goes out....

May she rest in peace.

Slan,
D.
And many a poor man that has roved,
Loved and thought himself beloved,
From a glad kindness cannot take his eyes.

Yes. I fell plenty the couple of times I tried it. No ill consequences. The circumstances are so strange in this case.

A student of mine skied into a light pole on Mont Tremblant during winter break years ago. Broke his neck. He survived and even walked again after wearing a halo for about three months and then undergoing cervical fusion surgery. Downhill is dangerous, I wonder if she was wearing a helmet? Such a sad thing to happen.

No, she was not. But it appeared to be a minor, completely unspectacular fall on the beginner slope, from which she walked away.
There is speculation that there was possibly a pre-existing condition which made an internal bleed more likely, but I guess anything
can happen, anytime.

Tell us something.: I used to be a regular then I took up the bassoon. Bassoons don't have a lot of chiff. Not really, I have always been a drummer, and my C&F years were when I was a little tired of the drums. Now I'm back playing drums. I mist the C&F years, though.

She refused the paramedics' attention on the slope. Everyone there is pretty freaked out. She was moved back home just to give her family time to say goodbye to her. A tragedy.

I suspect Liam Neson is now at a higher risk of early death as is sometimes the case in these situations. Hope he hangs on for their kid's sake.

I realized today that March is Brain Injury Awareness Month.

I don't like being made more aware in this way.
Wash your hands. Cough and sneeze in your sleeve. Stay home if you are sick. Stay informed. http://www.cdc.gov/swineflu for more info.

Just a few studieshttp://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entre ... SuggestionI belong to a grief support group that has had a number of speakers talk about this issue and we have seen it happen with members. It appears to cut across many socio-economic lines.

Data my ass.

Tragedy is undefinable by its nature.

Two boys have lost their Mother, a man has lost his wife.
A family have lost their daughter..a young woman has lost more than can be described.

As said earlier, Liam is an adult. He'll figure it out....

This thread was posted with respect..let's not drift too far away from that thought.

I do see your point but....

Slan,
D.
And many a poor man that has roved,
Loved and thought himself beloved,
From a glad kindness cannot take his eyes.
